About the Preclinical Research Center
Purpose of establishment
- To Support the evaluation of the biological efficacy and safety of new drug candidates and medical devices in development as a specialized research facility in the field of experimental animals in the cluster
- To establish a world-class experimental animal facility that can contribute to the success of the medical cluster and the development of the medical and scientific fields in the region through the maintenance and management of experimental animals and creation and use of various animal disease models

- Production, supply, and maintenance of experimental animals required by research institutions
- Development, maintenance, collection, preservation, and supply of various animal disease models

- Overview : site area of 13,700m2, building floor area of 8,696m2(1 underground floor, 3 aboveground floors)
- Key facilities : small animal area, medium-sized animal area (dogs, pigs), primate area, medical device area, in vivo imaging area, ABSL2 area, surgical area, etc.
- Ancillary Facilities : mini-pig research facility, bio-imaging agent research lab
